Damien Tiernan

Damien Tiernan, born in August 1970 in Newtownmountkennedy, Ireland, is an Irish journalist and broadcaster with over 25 years of experience. He served as South East Correspondent for RTÉ News from 1996 to 2019 and now presents news and current affairs on Waterford Local Radio (WLR), including the show 'Déise Today'. He has authored two books on fishing tragedies and hurling, titled 'The Ecstasy and the Agony', and won awards such as Young European Journalist of the Year in 1996.[1][2]
