Dale E. Basye

Dale E. Basye is an American author best known for his 'Circles of Heck' children's book series, starting with 'Heck: Where the Bad Kids Go' published by Random House in 2008, which follows siblings Milton and Marlo Fauster in a humorous afterlife reform school for bad kids.[1][4][5] A writer and creative director for children's websites based in Portland, Oregon, he drew inspiration from his own dislike of school and a friend's mockumentary idea about the devil.[4][5][7] The series, which includes eight books released by 2019, has garnered critical acclaim and a strong following.[1][7]
