Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian Renaissance polymath known as a painter, draftsman, sculptor, architect, engineer, and scientist. He is especially famous for works such as the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, and for his notebooks on anatomy, mechanics, and many other subjects.
