Da Ruan

Da Ruan (Chinese: 阮达) was a Chinese-Belgian mathematician and professor specializing in fuzzy set theory and uncertainty modeling. He earned his Ph.D. from Ghent University and worked at the Department of Applied Mathematics & Computer Science there, authoring works like 'Fuzzy set theory and advanced mathematical applications' (1995). He passed away unexpectedly at age 51.
