D W J Cuddeford
D.W.J. Cuddeford was a British officer commissioned into the Highland Light Infantry (HLI) in January 1916, initially serving with the 13th (Reserve) Battalion before joining the 12th Battalion in France as part of the 46th Brigade.[1] In April 1917, he and his men were involved in combat actions during World War I, later documenting his experiences in the memoir 'And All for What?', published in 2006.[2][3]
