D. L. Moody

D. L. Moody, born Dwight Lyman Moody, was a 19th-century American evangelist and publisher who became one of the most influential figures in modern evangelical Christianity. He founded the Moody Church, Moody Bible Institute, and several Northfield schools, and his urban evangelistic campaigns helped shape later mass evangelism.
