Cressida Cowell

Cressida Cowell MBE FRSL is a British author and illustrator best known for the How to Train Your Dragon book series, which has sold over seven million copies worldwide and been adapted into a major DreamWorks Animation franchise. She grew up in London and on a small, uninhabited island off the west coast of Scotland, experiences that shaped the wild landscapes in her books. Cowell has also written The Wizards of Once and Which Way to Anywhere series, and served as Waterstones Children's Laureate from 2019 to 2022.
