Courtney Sheinmel
Courtney Sheinmel (born June 21, 1977, in Stanford, California) is an American author specializing in children's and young adult books, including series like Stella Batts and My Pet Slime, as well as novels for older readers. After earning a BA from Barnard College and a JD from Fordham University School of Law, she worked as a lawyer for six years before publishing her debut novel My So-Called Family in 2008 and transitioning to full-time writing. She lives in New York City and has authored nearly thirty books for kids and teens.[1][2]
