Cotton Mather

Cotton Mather was a prominent New England Puritan minister, theologian, and author, known for his prolific writings on religion, science, and politics. He played a key role in the Salem witch trials and was a proponent of smallpox inoculation. His most famous work, 'Magnalia Christi Americana', is a historical account of New England.
