Cornelia Funke
Cornelia Maria Funke is a German author of children's fiction, best known for the Inkheart trilogy, The Thief Lord, and Dragon Rider, with her books translated into over 50 languages and selling more than 20 million copies worldwide. Born in 1958 in Dorsten, Germany, she began as a social worker and book illustrator before becoming a full-time writer in the late 1980s, focusing on fantasy stories about children facing adversity. She now lives in Los Angeles.
