Commonwealth Secretariat
The Commonwealth Secretariat is the main intergovernmental agency of the Commonwealth of Nations, established on July 1, 1965, and headquartered at Marlborough House in London, UK. It facilitates consultation and cooperation among the 56 member governments, organizes summits and ministerial meetings, provides policy advice, and delivers technical assistance for social, economic, and political development. The Secretariat is led by the Commonwealth Secretary-General, currently the Hon. Shirley Botchwey.
