Colm Tóibín

Colm Tóibín is one of the most widely read writers in contemporary Irish literature, born on May 30, 1955, in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland[2]. He has published 11 novels, including best-known works such as Brooklyn, The Blackwater Lightship, The Master, and The Testament of Mary, as well as collections of short stories and nonfiction including essays and travelogues[2][7]. His work has been shortlisted for the Booker Prize three times and has won the Costa Novel Award and the IMPAC Award[7].
