Claudia Liebelt

Claudia Liebelt is a German cultural anthropologist and professor at the Humboldt University Berlin, specializing in the anthropology of labor, aesthetics, and gender. Her research focuses on migration, visual and material culture, with particular emphasis on the beauty economy and the global circulation of care work. She is known for her ethnographic studies on beauty ideals and body politics in the Philippines.
