Claudia Davila
Claudia Dávila is a Canadian author, illustrator, and designer of children's picture books and graphic novels, with themes encouraging strength, thoughtfulness, compassion, and responsibility in children. Formerly the art director of Chirp and Chickadee magazines, she has created award-winning works like the Luz series (including Luz Sees the Light, 2012 Green Earth Book Award winner, and Luz Makes a Splash, 2013 Green Earth Prize recipient) and Super Red Riding Hood (2016 Forest of Reading Blue Spruce Honour Book). Born in Santiago, Chile, she now lives in Toronto, Ontario, with her husband and children, and has illustrated over 30 books.[1][2][3][4]
