Claude Lévi-Strauss

Claude Lévi-Strauss was a French anthropologist and ethnologist who became one of the most influential social scientists of the twentieth century. He is widely known as the father of structuralism, a theoretical approach that sought to uncover the underlying structures of human culture through the analysis of kinship, myth, and language. His major works include 'Tristes Tropiques' and 'The Raw and the Cooked'.
