Clarke
Arthur C. Clarke was an English science fiction author, inventor, and futurist best known for his novel 2001: A Space Odyssey, co-written as a screenplay with Stanley Kubrick, and works like Childhood's End and Rendezvous with Rama.[1][3][4] He served as a radar specialist in the RAF during World War II, proposed the concept of geostationary satellites, and moved to Sri Lanka in 1956 to pursue underwater exploration, living there until his death.[1][2][5] Clarke authored over 100 books, won multiple Hugo and Nebula Awards, and was knighted in 2000 for his contributions to literature and science.[1][2][4]
