Clare Pernice

Clare Pernice is a children's picture book writer and illustrator born and raised in England, where her passion for children's books developed under the influence of Roald Dahl and her imaginative, story-telling father.[1][2][4] She holds an Arts Diploma and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in Art and Design from London's Central Saint Martin’s School of Art, and has worked in film, theatre, children’s clothing, and product design before focusing on picture books.[2] Now based in the US, she teaches art classes at the Museum of Illustration in New York City, runs workshops at the Society of Illustrators, and creates books in her studio.[2][3][7]
