Clara Vulliamy (Author, Illustrator)

Clara Vulliamy is a British author and illustrator born in 1962 in West London, daughter of renowned children's author and illustrator Shirley Hughes. She studied Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art, The Ruskin, and The Royal Academy, beginning her career as a portrait painter and magazine illustrator before transitioning to children's books. She is best known for her Dixie O'Day series (co-created with her mother), as well as the Dotty Detective, Marshmallow Pie the Cat Superstar, and The Dog Squad series.
