Clair Hayden Bell

Clair Hayden Bell was a professor of German at the University of California at Berkeley who specialized in German literature and history. He is known for his scholarly work on Georg Hager, a Meistersinger of Nürnberg, which he published through University of California Press in 1947. Bell also edited German literary texts, including 'Wer zuletzt lacht' published in 1952.
