Cicely Berry
Cicely Frances Berry CBE (1926–2018) was a British theatre director and vocal coach, best known as the longtime Voice Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company starting in 1969, where she revolutionized approaches to voice and text over five decades.[1][4] She trained at London's Central School of Speech and Drama and became world-renowned for her work as a voice and text coach, authoring influential books on the subject.[2][5] Born in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, she was appointed CBE in 2009 for her contributions to theatre.[6][2]
