Chun-Hung Chen

Chun-Hung Chen is a Professor of Systems Engineering and Operations Research at George Mason University, where he has served since 2007, and also holds an affiliated professorship in the Department of Statistics since 2024. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences from Harvard University in 1994 and previously worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Renowned for inventing the Optimal Computing Budget Allocation (OCBA) method, he has received awards including the National Thousand Talents Award in 2011 and has been sponsored by agencies like NSF, NIH, DOE, NASA, and FAA for his work in stochastic simulation optimization.
