Chu-Tsing Li
Chu-tsing Li (1920-2014) was a Chinese-American art historian born in Guangdong who became a leading scholar of Chinese paintings and East Asian art history. After studying English literature at the University of Iowa beginning in 1947, he shifted his focus to Chinese art history and taught at the University of Iowa before transferring to the University of Kansas in 1966, where he significantly expanded American academic study of East Asian art.
