Christopher Taylor

Christopher Taylor is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Chicago, specializing in 19th-century hemispheric Americas literature with a focus on the British West Indies.[1][2] His research explores connections among Caribbean literary history, economic thought, and political theory, and he is completing his first book, *Empire of Neglect: Imagining the Americas in a Liberal Age*.[1][2] He earned his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012 and has taught at UChicago since then.[1]
