Christopher Morley
Christopher Morley (1890-1957) was an American novelist, poet, essayist, and journalist known for his versatile, lighthearted works including the novels Parnassus on Wheels (1917), The Haunted Bookshop (1919), and the bestselling Kitty Foyle (1939).[1][2][4] He graduated from Haverford College, studied at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, wrote columns for the New York Evening Post and Saturday Review of Literature, and edited Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations.[1][2][5] A prolific author of over 100 books, he was a founding editor of the Saturday Review and a judge for the Book-of-the-Month Club.[2][4][5]
