Christopher Krentz
Christopher Krentz is an American scholar and professor of English at the University of Virginia, where he also serves as director of the American Sign Language program. He is best known for his work on deaf studies and nineteenth-century American literature, particularly his book 'Writing Deafness: The Hearing of the Nineteenth-Century Deaf Writer' and his edited anthology 'A Mighty Change: An Anthology of Deaf American Writing, 1812-1864.' His research often examines the intersection of deaf identity, language, and culture in historical literary contexts.
