Christopher J. Kowles

Christopher Knowles (born 1959) is an American poet, painter, and artist known for his contributions to experimental theater, including writing the libretto for Robert Wilson's opera *Einstein on the Beach* (1976).[1][2] Discovered as a teenager through a self-recorded tape of his poetry, he has since branched into drawing, ceramics, and visual art, with exhibitions at institutions like MoMA and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston.[2][5][6]
