Christopher Hope
Christopher Hope is a South African novelist, poet, and nonfiction writer born in Johannesburg in 1944. His work often explores apartheid, racism, and South African politics, and his novels include *A Separate Development*, *Kruger’s Alp*, and *Serenity House*.[1][9] He won major awards including the David Higham Prize and the Whitbread Prize for Fiction, and he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.[1][6]
