Christopher Hill

Christopher Hill was a prominent English Marxist historian and academic specializing in 17th-century English history, particularly the English Revolution. He served as Master of Balliol College, Oxford, from 1965 to 1978 and authored influential works such as 'The World Turned Upside Down' and 'God's Englishman'. His political journey included a period of membership in the Communist Party of Great Britain before he broke with the party.
