Christie Watson

Christie Watson is a British author, Professor of Creative Writing and Medical Humanities at the University of East Anglia, and a former NHS nurse who worked for over twenty years, primarily in pediatric intensive care.[1][2][7] Her debut novel Tiny Sunbirds Far Away won the Costa First Novel Award, and her memoir The Language of Kindness was a number one Sunday Times bestseller; she has published eight books including four novels and four non-fiction works, translated into twenty-three languages.[2][7] She contributes to major publications like The Times, Guardian, and Telegraph, serves as Patron of the RCN Foundation, and lives in London.[1][2][7]
