Chris Matthews
Chris Matthews (born Christopher John Matthews on December 17, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American journalist, political commentator, and author best known for hosting the MSNBC talk show Hardball with Chris Matthews from 1997 to 2020. His career includes roles as a speechwriter and aide to prominent Democrats like Tip O'Neill, Washington bureau chief for the San Francisco Examiner, and author of books such as Hardball (1988), Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero (2011), and This Country: My Life in Politics and History (2021).[1][2]
