Charlotte Phillips

Charlotte Phillips (1818–1876) was an English author born in St. Neots who wrote poetry and the novel 'Ten Years in a Lunatic Asylum' under the pseudonym Mabel Etchell, based on her own experiences in an asylum. She married author George Searle Phillips in 1840 and lived in the United States for a time before her death in 1876.
