Charlotte Maria Tucker
Charlotte Maria Tucker (1821–1893), known by the pseudonym A.L.O.E. ('A Lady of England'), was a prolific English writer and poet who specialized in didactic children's literature with strong moral and religious themes. In addition to her literary career, she served as a missionary for the Church of England Zenana Society in India from 1875 until her death in Amritsar.
