Charlie Mackesy

Charlie Mackesy is a British artist, illustrator, and author best known for his internationally bestselling book The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse (2019), which holds records for the most consecutive weeks in the Sunday Times Non-Fiction Chart. He began his career as a cartoonist for The Spectator and later became a book illustrator for Oxford University Press. Born and raised in Northumberland, England, he was awarded an OBE and has a sequel book, Always Remember, published in 2025.
