Charles W Penrose
Charles William Penrose (1832–1925) was a prominent leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, born in Camberwell, London, England, to Richard Penrose and Matilda Sims. He joined the Church in 1850, served as a missionary in England, immigrated to Utah in 1861, worked as a newspaper editor for publications like the Deseret News, and later became a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in 1904 and a counselor in the First Presidency under Joseph F. Smith and Heber J. Grant.[1][3][5]
