Charles Palmer-Cook
Charlie Palmer, born in 1959 in Smyrna, New York, is an acclaimed American chef, restaurateur, and pioneer of progressive American cooking, best known for opening his flagship restaurant Aureole in New York City in 1988 at age 28. Influenced by his upstate New York farming roots and early culinary experiences, he has built the Charlie Palmer Group, managing over 15 restaurants, boutique hotels, and earning more than 20 Michelin stars along with James Beard awards. Palmer is also a cookbook author and board member of the Culinary Institute of America.
