Charles Jensen

Charles Jensen is an American poet and editor born on April 5, 1977, known for his three poetry collections including *Instructions Between Takeoff and Landing* (2022) and his hybrid memoir *Splice of Life: A Memoir in 13 Film Genres* (2024). He lives in Los Angeles and directs the Writers’ Program at UCLA Extension, having received honors such as the 2018 Zócalo Poetry Prize and the 2019–2020 Cultural Trailblazer designation from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs[5][1][6].
