Charles Eisenstein

Charles Eisenstein (born 1967) is an American author, speaker, and activist known for exploring themes of civilization, consciousness, money, human evolution, economics, spirituality, ecology, anti-consumerism, and interdependence.[2][1] He graduated from Yale University in 1989 with degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy, lived in Taiwan for about a decade as a Chinese-English translator, and later returned to the US where he authored books like The Ascent of Humanity (2007), Sacred Economics, and The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible.[1][3] His work has influenced movements such as Occupy and promotes ideas like gift economies and universal basic income.[2]
