Charles de Foucauld

Charles de Foucauld was a French Catholic religious and missionary who lived among the Tuareg people in the Sahara. He was also an explorer, linguist, and author of spiritual and ethnographic works, and his writings emphasize contemplation and love of neighbor. He was canonized as a saint in the Catholic Church in 2022.
