Charles Babbage

Charles Babbage was an English mathematician, inventor, and mechanical engineer widely regarded as the 'father of the computer' for conceiving the first automatic digital computer and the programmable Analytical Engine. Born in London in 1791, he pioneered the concepts behind modern computing despite never completing a fully operational machine due to technological limitations of his time.
