Chao Li

Chao Li is a climate scientist born on November 7, 1981, in Hubei, China, specializing in climate and weather extremes. He earned his bachelor's from Sun Yat-Sen University, master's from the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, and Dr.rer.nat. from the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology and University of Hamburg. Currently, he serves as Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg, Germany, with prior roles including Senior Research Scientist and Distinguished Guest Professor at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
