Cecily von Ziegesar

Cecily Brooke von Ziegesar is an American author best known for the young adult Gossip Girl series, which debuted in 2002 and became a New York Times bestseller, depicting the lives of privileged teenagers on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Born into a family of German nobility, she attended the Nightingale-Bamford School, which inspired elements of her books, and later worked at Alloy Entertainment where she conceived the series. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.
