Cecily McMillan
Cecily McMillan (born 1988) is an American activist, prisoner rights advocate, and author known for her memoir, The Emancipation of Cecily McMillan. She became widely known for her involvement in the Occupy Wall Street movement and her 2012 arrest in Zuccotti Park, an incident that led to a conviction and imprisonment at Rikers Island, which she later wrote about in her memoir.
