Cathy Johnson
Cathy Johnson is a nationally acclaimed artist, author, and naturalist who has written and illustrated 36 books, including the popular Sierra Club Guide to Sketching in Nature[1][3]. She has worked as a freelance artist, writer, and naturalist for over 30 years, serving as staff naturalist and contributing editor for Country Living magazine for 11 years[2]. Johnson also owns and operates Graphics/Fine Arts Press with her husband, Joseph Ruckman, publishing books for history buffs and interpreters[1].
