Catherynne M Valente

Catherynne M. Valente (born Bethany Thomas) is an American fiction writer, poet, and literary critic known for her speculative fiction, fantasy, and science fiction works. She has won prestigious awards including the James Tiptree, Jr. Award, Andre Norton Award, Mythopoeic Award, Hugo Award, Locus Award, and Rhysling Award for her novels, poetry, and short stories such as those in the Orphan's Tales series and Silently and Very Fast.
