Catherine J. Allen
Catherine J. Allen is an American anthropologist and professor emerita at George Washington University. Her research focuses on the Quechua-speaking peoples of the Andes, particularly their use of coca and embodied cultural practices. She is the author of 'The Hold Man Who: Coca and Cultural Identity in an Andean Community' and contributed significantly to Andean ethnography.
