Cassandra Clare
Cassandra Clare is the pen name of Judith Lewis (née Rumelt), an American author born July 27, 1973, in Tehran, Iran to American parents. She is best known for her bestselling Shadowhunter Chronicles series, which began with The Mortal Instruments in 2007. Clare spent her childhood traveling internationally and later worked in entertainment magazines before beginning her writing career.
