Carolyne Roehm

Carolyne Roehm (born Jane Carolyne Smith) is an American author, former fashion designer, businesswoman, and socialite who rose to prominence working under Oscar de la Renta before launching her own luxury ready-to-wear and couture label in 1985, which she closed in 1991 following personal tragedy. She later ventured into mail-order clothing and boutiques before transitioning to authorship, producing twelve books on design, style, gardening, entertaining, and lifestyle. Known for her discerning eye and passion for beauty, Roehm has been a style icon and part of American design culture for over four decades.
