Caroline Grego

Caroline Grego is a historian from South Carolina specializing in the histories of labor, race and racism, and the environment in the American South. She earned a BA in geography from Middlebury College in 2011, an MA from the University of British Columbia in 2013, and a PhD in history from the University of Colorado Boulder around 2022. She is an assistant professor of history at Queens University of Charlotte and author of Hurricane Jim Crow: How the Great Sea Island Storm of 1893 Shaped the Lowcountry South.
