Carolina De Robertis

Caro De Robertis (formerly known as Carolina De Robertis) is a Uruguayan-American author, translator, and professor of creative writing at San Francisco State University, known for novels like The Invisible Mountain, Perla, Cantoras, and The Gods of Tango, as well as the oral history So Many Stars.[3][5] Born into a Uruguayan family that immigrated to England, Switzerland, and California, they worked in women's rights organizations before publishing their debut novel in 2009 and have received awards including the John Dos Passos Prize as the first openly nonbinary recipient.[1][3][5]
