Carole Gerber

Carole Gerber was a prolific children's book author, journalist, poet, and former teacher who authored nearly two dozen picture books, early readers, chapter books, and over 100 elementary science and reading texts.[1][2][4][6] She held a BS in English education and an MA in journalism from Ohio State University, and worked in various roles including high school teacher, adjunct professor, and editor.[4][8] Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she lived much of her life near Columbus before passing away in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.[1][2][7]
